Japanese Incense Nippon Kodo Oedo-Koh Peony Tree
The enchanting peony enjoyed enormous popularity in Edo. Its bewitching shape is reminiscent of a beautiful geisha. Looking at a peony flower, you can almost hear the music and see the dances of the geisha district.
It was an exclusive world for the privileged few, and the time spent by patrons in tea houses is said to be measured using incense sticks.
The scent of the peony, "queen of flowers" evokes this beautiful and evanescent world.
