Himalayan plants, sandalwood and monastic recipes – the makers in the collection

The collection brings together incense from the most respected monastic workshops in the region, each with its own tradition and character:

• Traditional plant blends – classic incense composed of alpine plants, dried roots, fragrant bark, resin incense and woods such as red and white sandalwood. Many of these recipes are known as Healing Incense and have been used for generations to support inner balance.
• Chandra Devi, Pimco and Himalayan Arts – three established makers from the region, whose incense is composed of natural raw materials with no artificial additives. Each line carries the character of its origin.
• Himalayan Herbs Centre and Stupa Incense Industry – two further workshops with a broad range, from classic monastic blends to more accessible compositions for everyday use.
• Tharpa Choeling Nunnery – spiritual incense hand-rolled and packaged by the nuns of this monastery, following ancient practices with particular care given to every single stick.
