Nippon Kodo Herb & Earth – Low-Smoke Japanese Incense Sticks (12)
Herb & Earth incense sticks from Nippon Kodo bring Japanese fragrance tradition together with a modern, low-smoke burn – slender sticks designed for everyday use, filling a room quietly and evenly with a sense of wellbeing.
Herb & Earth – discreet Japanese incense for modern interiors
This range was developed for enclosed indoor spaces and stands out for a few practical qualities worth knowing about.
Low-smoke combustion – These sticks smoulder with very little visible smoke. The fragrance diffuses gently through the room without heavy clouds – well suited to meditation, yoga or quiet moments in a small apartment.
Fine sticks, 20 per pack – The very slim diameter gives a shorter burn time than classic Japanese formats. Perfect for defined moments: a cup of tea, a brief meditation pause, a calm evening at home.
Cedar and classic wood compositions – The range includes familiar woody and botanical accords, among them an earthy cedar closely related to the recipes of the well-known Morning Star series. Balanced, versatile and easy to enjoy.
Production – This series is made in China using a technique reminiscent of traditional Indian rolling: the aromatic paste is wrapped around a fine bamboo core. A different approach from coreless Japanese incense sticks, but made to the quality standards Nippon Kodo is known for.
How to use Herb & Earth incense sticks – simple and quick for everyday use
Insert the uncoated end of the bamboo stick into a ceramic, stone or metal incense holder designed to catch the falling ash. Light the tip, let it burn for two to three seconds, then gently blow out the flame – the stick will continue to smoulder and release its fragrance steadily. Give the room a brief airing after use.
The Herb & Earth range makes an easy daily ritual or a simple, thoughtful gift for anyone curious about Japanese incense who wants to start without fuss or prior experience.
