The Ispalla Palo Santo & Rosemary Incense Sticks combine genuine Palo Santo wood with rosemary. They are handmade in Peru and belong to the Ispalla series, in which Palo Santo is combined with selected aromatic plants and resins.
According to the manufacturer, the Palo Santo used comes from wood that has fallen naturally to the ground. No trees are therefore cut down for their production. The manufacturer also states that the product has official certification from the Peruvian authorities relating to the sustainable use of natural Palo Santo populations.
The fragrance of Palo Santo and rosemary
This variety combines the warm, woody and slightly balsamic character of Palo Santo with the distinctly aromatic and herbal fragrance of rosemary. The fresh, spicy plant notes create a clear contrast with the warmth of the wood, giving the incense blend a livelier, greener character.
Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) is an aromatic South American wood with a long tradition of use as incense. Rosemary has likewise long been known as an aromatic plant and is used for burning as incense in various cultural traditions. The Ispalla blend brings these two plants together in the form of a ready-to-use incense stick.
Handmade in Peru
Each incense stick is hand-rolled in Peru. One pack contains 10 incense sticks. The burning time is approximately 30 min per stick.
How to use
Light the tip of the incense stick and allow it to burn briefly. Then gently blow out the flame and place the glowing stick in a suitable incense holder. As it slowly burns, the warm woody notes of Palo Santo blend with the fresh, herbal character of rosemary.
