Shoyeido Overtones Patchouli is a Japanese incense that places the characteristic fragrance of patchouli at the heart of its composition. Shoyeido's Overtones range focuses on a particular aromatic ingredient in each variety, interpreting its fragrance in the refined, balanced style of Japanese incense sticks.
For this variety, Shoyeido combines patchouli leaves with sandalwood and spices. As the incense burns, it develops a warm, earthy and spicy fragrance with the aromatic depth typical of patchouli. The sandalwood provides a soft, woody foundation, while the spices add further nuances to the composition.
The Shoyeido Overtones Range
Overtones is a range of incense sticks made in Japan, with each variety centred around a clearly recognisable fragrance note. Patchouli is one of the seven fragrances in the range, alongside Sandalwood, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Frankincense, Tea Leaves and Palo Santo. This makes the range particularly well suited to discovering different aromatic materials through a Japanese interpretation of their fragrances.
Shoyeido Overtones Patchouli is made without synthetic fragrance oils, synthetic binders or artificial fragrances. Each pack contains 35 incense sticks measuring 22 cm in length. The burning time is approximately 50 minutes per stick.
