Alabaster Incense Bowl White 10 cm

This white incense bowl made from natural alabaster is made in India and is suitable for burning incense with sand and charcoal. Its shape and dimensions are identical to the soapstone bowls in this series, but it differs in the light appearance of the alabaster.

The bowl measures approximately 10 cm in diameter and 3.5 cm in height. As alabaster is a natural stone, the colour, texture and subtle markings may vary from one bowl to another.

Burning incense with sand and charcoal

To burn incense, fill the bowl with a sufficient layer of fine incense sand. Place a previously lit charcoal tablet on the sand and wait until the charcoal is fully glowing and has reached the desired temperature. You can then place small amounts of natural resins such as frankincense, myrrh or copal, as well as aromatic plants, fragrant woods or incense blends, on the charcoal.

After burning incense, allow the charcoal to burn out completely and cool down. Ash and residue should only be removed once they have completely cooled.
