Product description

Papier d’Arménie "Arménie" is a French scented paper with a warm, oriental-inspired fragrance composition. It is made in Montrouge near Paris by the historic house Le Papier d’Arménie, whose history dates back to 1885.

The L’Arménie fragrance was created in 2006 through a collaboration between Mireille Schvartz and perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. Developed to mark the Year of Armenia in France, it gives the classic Papier d’Arménie a distinctive fragrance with a particularly strong character of its own.

L’Arménie fragrance

The fragrance has an ambery and vanilla character, combining myrrh essence with essence from the leaves of the Ceylon cinnamon tree. The result is a warm, spicy and oriental-inspired composition with soft, balsamic nuances.

French scented paper since 1885

Papier d’Arménie is a French brand with a long artisanal tradition. The scented paper has been made in Montrouge, just outside Paris, since 1885. The small booklets are made from perfumed blotting paper and combine an unusual way of fragrancing interior spaces with the history of the house.

How to use

The booklet contains 12 sheets, each of which can be divided into three strips. For the traditional method of use, tear off one strip, fold it like an accordion and light it. Blow out the flame so that the paper slowly smoulders and releases its fragrance. It should be placed on a heat-resistant surface or in a suitable Papier d’Arménie burner.

The scented paper can also be used without burning. Individual strips can, for example, be placed in a wardrobe, drawer, handbag or envelope, where they will gradually release their fragrance.
