Product description

Horyukoh by Baieido, also known as Jinkoh Horyukoh, is part of the traditional Jinkoya Sakubei series. While Kokonoekoh in this range is characterised by sandalwood, Horyukoh combines Indonesian agarwood with Indian sandalwood and a classic blend of spices.

Indonesian agarwood and Indian sandalwood

The composition is based on agarwood from Indonesia and Indian sandalwood, complemented by cassia, star anise, patchouli, clove and other ingredients. The interplay of these two aromatic woods gives Horyukoh a more complex character than the Kokonoekoh variant, which is focused exclusively on sandalwood.

Rich, deep and long-lasting woody fragrance

Horyukoh combines the warm, soft base note of sandalwood with the deeper aromatic presence of agarwood. Cassia, star anise and clove contribute spicy and slightly sweet accents, while patchouli adds an earthy facet. Particularly characteristic are the rich woody fragrance and the pronounced, long-lasting base note.

The Jinkoya Sakubei series

Within the three-part Jinkoya Sakubei series, Horyukoh represents the transition from the sandalwood composition Kokonoekoh to the incenses more strongly characterised by agarwood. The series is based on the traditional recipes of Jinkoya Sakubei and combines classic aromatic woods with spices and other traditional incense ingredients.

50 g of Japanese incense sticks

One box contains 50 g, corresponding to approximately 150 incense sticks. The sticks are approximately 14 cm long.

To use, light the tip of an incense stick and then blow out the flame. Place the glowing stick in a suitable incense holder and use it on a fire-resistant surface.
