Kunshokoh by Baieido, also known as Gokujyo Jinkoh Kunsho Koh or Excellent Aloeswood Kunshokoh, is the highest-grade of the three compositions in the Jinkoya Sakubei series. Following the sandalwood-focused Kokonoekoh and Horyukoh with Indonesian agarwood, Kunshokoh places high-quality Vietnamese agarwood at the heart of the composition.

Vietnamese agarwood and Indian sandalwood

The composition combines agarwood from Vietnam with Indian sandalwood, cassia, star anise, patchouli, clove and other ingredients. This classic combination of aromatic woods and spices creates a multifaceted foundation in which the character of the Vietnamese agarwood is particularly prominent.

Deep, complex and delicately spicy

Kunshokoh has a rich, woody and complex fragrance character. Agarwood brings depth and a pronounced aromatic presence, while sandalwood rounds out the composition with its softer, warm woody note. Cassia, star anise and clove provide spicy and slightly sweet accents, complemented by the earthy facet of patchouli.

The highest grade in the Jinkoya Sakubei series

The three incenses in the series highlight different aromatic woods: Kokonoekoh is based on Indian sandalwood, Horyukoh combines sandalwood with Indonesian agarwood, and Kunshokoh, with its high-quality Vietnamese agarwood, represents the highest grade in the range. This makes the three compositions particularly interesting to compare and offers an opportunity to discover the different characteristics of sandalwood and agarwood.

50 g of Japanese incense sticks

One box contains 50 g, corresponding to approximately 150 incense sticks. The sticks are approximately 14 cm long.

To use, light the tip of an incense stick and then blow out the flame. Place the glowing stick in a suitable incense holder and use it on a fire-resistant surface.
