Kobunboku Daikunkoh by Baieido is the extra-long version of the classic Kobunboku. The 34 cm long incense sticks have a larger diameter than the shorter versions and contain the same characteristic fragrance composition based on Indian sandalwood.
Kobunboku combines Indian sandalwood with a complex blend of aromatic plants and spices. The warm, slightly sweet woody character of sandalwood is complemented by pronounced herbal and spicy notes. Particularly characteristic is the fresh, slightly camphoraceous nuance of Borneo camphor (borneol), which gives the composition a distinctive contrast.
Warm, woody, spicy and herbal with a fresh camphoraceous facet. The soft sandalwood base provides a calm background, while aromatic herbs and spices create a complex fragrance. The different nuances may become more or less prominent as the incense burns, giving Kobunboku its unmistakable character.
The name Kobunboku is associated with the plum blossom and its traditional cultural symbolism. However, it should not be understood as a description of a floral plum blossom fragrance. Kobunboku is instead a woody and spicy incense composition whose character is defined by sandalwood, aromatic plants and spices.
With a length of 34 cm, Kobunboku Daikunkoh is designed for particularly long incense sessions. As with Baieido's other extra-long Daikunkoh versions, the sticks are slightly thicker than the shorter varieties. The larger diameter gives the long sticks the necessary stability.
This format is particularly suitable for extended incense sessions and meditation when you want the characteristic Kobunboku fragrance to remain present for a longer period.
To use, light the tip of an incense stick, blow out the flame and place the smouldering stick in a holder suitable for extra-long Japanese incense sticks. Use on a stable, fire-resistant surface.
