Product description
These long Shukohkoku incense sticks by Baieido are made in Osaka, Japan. They contain the same woody-spicy incense composition as the shorter Shukohkoku sticks, but at 24 cm long they offer a considerably longer burning time.
The recipe combines Indian sandalwood and Vietnamese agarwood with cassia, star anise, patchouli, clove and other ingredients. The fragrance develops into a warm, multifaceted blend of aromatic woods and spices: sandalwood forms a soft woody foundation, agarwood adds depth to the composition, while cassia, star anise and clove provide spicy accents. Patchouli complements the fragrance with an earthy note.
24 cm long Japanese incense sticks
At 24 cm long, each stick burns for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. The pack contains a total of 75 g of incense sticks. This long format is particularly suitable when the characteristic fragrance of Shu Koh Koku is desired for an extended period of time.
Shukohkoku by Baieido
Baieido from Osaka is known for Japanese incense compositions that combine aromatic woods with spices and other incense materials. Shukohkoku is one of the brand's distinctly woody-spicy compositions.
Due to different systems of romanisation from Japanese, the name of this incense can also be found in spellings such as Syukohkoku or Shu Koh Koku. Each refers to the same Baieido incense composition, which is available in different lengths and pack sizes.
