The Kessa glove in hammam tradition

How to use with black soap

For a traditional hammam exfoliation, the following method is recommended:

1. Thoroughly wet the skin under a warm shower or in a warm bath.
2. Apply black soap to damp skin and leave it on for a few minutes.
3. Rinse off the soap with warm water.
4. Massage the still-damp skin with the Kessa glove using gentle circular movements. Slightly firmer exfoliation can be used on elbows, knees and other rough areas.
5. Rinse the body with clean water, then apply a body oil or moisturising skincare product if desired.

Using the glove approximately once a week is generally sufficient. The frequency should be adjusted according to individual skin tolerance. Avoid applying excessive pressure and do not use the glove on irritated, damaged or particularly sensitive skin.

Cleaning and caring for the glove

Wash the Kessa glove before its first use. After each use, rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry completely in a well-ventilated area.
