Brass Incense Pan with Wooden Handle – 22 cm

This brass incense pan with wooden handle is a traditionally designed incense vessel for burning incense over charcoal. With a diameter of approximately 12 cm and a total length including the handle of approximately 22 cm, it is more generously sized than the smaller incense pans of this type.

The wooden side handle allows the vessel to be picked up and moved during incense burning. The domed lid features star- and crescent-shaped openings through which the incense smoke can escape.

For frankincense and incense blends

The incense pan is particularly suitable for burning pure frankincense and incense blends over charcoal tablets. This method of incense burning is closely associated with the traditional use of frankincense in church and other incense practices.

A fully glowing charcoal tablet is placed inside the vessel and then sprinkled with a small amount of frankincense or incense blend. Once the lid has been fitted, the smoke can disperse through the numerous openings.

Instructions for safe use

Burning incense over charcoal generates high temperatures. Place the incense pan only on a stable, heat-resistant surface and never leave glowing incense charcoal unattended. The wooden handle makes it easier to pick up the vessel, but the brass parts can become very hot during use. Allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
