Mainichi Byakudan by Nippon Kodo is a classic Japanese incense based on high-quality Indian sandalwood (Santalum album). The name “Mainichi Byakudan” can be interpreted as “sandalwood for every day” and aptly describes the character of this incense: a particularly refined sandalwood composition for regular use.
At the heart of the fragrance is the warm and distinctive aroma of Indian sandalwood. It unfolds with a soft, woody character, a natural, slightly sweet warmth and a pleasing aromatic depth. Mainichi Byakudan is one of Nippon Kodo's finer sandalwood incenses and is particularly suited to lovers of classic Japanese woody fragrances.
Indian Sandalwood
Sandalwood has a long tradition in Japanese incense culture and is known as “Byakudan” in Japanese. For Mainichi Byakudan, Nippon Kodo uses a base of Indian sandalwood (Santalum album), one of the sandalwood species traditionally held in particularly high regard for fine incense compositions.
Two Lengths for Different Burning Times
Mainichi Byakudan is available in two formats. The short incense sticks come in a pack of 150 sticks and burn for approximately 25 minutes. The long incense sticks come in a pack of 100 sticks and have a burning time of approximately 40 minutes.
Both versions are made in Japan by Nippon Kodo and allow you to choose between a shorter or more extended incense-burning session depending on the desired duration.
