Cut Cedarwood 50 g – Cederi lignum from France

Cut cedarwood from France is suitable as an aromatic incense wood and as an ingredient in homemade incense blends. The small wood chips botanically belong to the genus Cedrus and not to the juniper species of the genus Juniperus, which are also frequently referred to as “cedar”.

This product is offered under the traditional designation Cederi lignum. It consists of cut cedarwood whose exact species within the genus Cedrus is not specified here. Compared with the previously described wood of the Lebanon cedar (Cedrus libani), this product therefore has a less specific botanical designation.

Fragrance Profile

When burned as incense, cedarwood releases a warm, woody and balsamic fragrance with gently spicy and slightly dry nuances. Its aroma is particularly well suited as a calm, woody base for incense blends and can be combined with herbs, resins and other woods.

How to Burn
