Quick-Light Charcoal 33 mm – 10 Charcoal Tablets

These quick-light charcoal tablets with a diameter of 33 mm provide a reliable heat source for traditional incense burning over charcoal. They are particularly suitable for natural resins such as frankincense, myrrh and copal, as well as incense blends designed to be burned over glowing charcoal.

The charcoal tablets are easy to light and then burn slowly and evenly for approximately 30–40 minutes. Apart from the brief ignition phase, they produce no visible smoke of their own and do not spark while burning. Each tablet weighs approximately 6 g; one roll contains 10 tablets.

How to use quick-light charcoal

First prepare a heat-resistant incense burner with incense sand or a suitable mesh screen. Light one side of the charcoal tablet with a flame, then place it safely inside the incense burner. Wait until the glow has spread across the charcoal before placing the incense material on top.

For particularly gentle heating of natural resins, it is worth waiting a little longer. A freshly lit charcoal tablet produces very intense heat, which can quickly char delicate resins. After approximately 15–20 minutes, the heat is already milder, allowing the aromatic components of the resins to develop more slowly.

Less heat for gentler incense burning

Towards the end of the burning time, the heat decreases further. This stage is particularly well suited to larger pieces of resin, such as frankincense: they are heated more slowly and can release their fragrance without burning as quickly or developing a scorched smell.

Safety instructions

The charcoal tablet becomes very hot during use. Use it only in a suitable heat-resistant incense burner placed on a fireproof surface, and never leave burning or glowing charcoal unattended. After burning incense, allow the charcoal to burn out completely and dispose of the ash only once it has fully cooled.
