Product description

Golden Nag Mantra by Vijayshree Fragrance are Indian masala incense sticks from Bangalore. This variety is part of the Golden Nag range and has a pronounced, warm and predominantly floral fragrance in the distinctive style of traditional Indian incense sticks.

The name Mantra refers to the fragrance of this variety within the Golden Nag range. Various descriptions agree on its floral character; depending on the source, sweet, creamy, spicy or slightly resinous nuances are also perceived. As no reliable detailed fragrance composition is available from the manufacturer, the fragrance profile cannot be clearly attributed to individual aromatic ingredients.

Fragrance profile

Warm, floral and sweet with a full, aromatic underlying character. Golden Nag Mantra develops a distinctly noticeable fragrance, typical of stronger Indian masala incense sticks.

Mantra and the Indian incense tradition

Mantras are syllables, words or verses that are recited or repeated in various Indian religious and spiritual traditions. Incense has long accompanied religious ceremonies and personal rituals in India. The name of this Golden Nag variety draws on this cultural connection. Independently of this context, the incense stick can simply be used for fragrancing indoor spaces or as a fragrant accompaniment to meditation and quiet moments.

Golden Nag Mantra is produced by Vijayshree Fragrance in Bangalore, India, and is offered as Masala Agarbathi.
