Product description

Goloka White Sage are Indian masala incense sticks with a fragrance inspired by White Sage. They come from Goloka in Bangalore and combine the full-bodied character of a classic masala incense stick with an aromatic, herbal and slightly earthy fragrance.

White Sage is best known as an incense plant native to North America. Its characteristic aroma is often described as strong, dry and herbal. Goloka White Sage interprets this fragrance in the form of an Indian incense stick, combining it with the softer, more rounded aromatic character of masala incense.

Fragrance profile

Herbal, aromatic and slightly earthy, with a dry, distinct sage note. The fragrance is fresher and more herbaceous than Goloka’s floral varieties and is particularly suited to those who enjoy plant-inspired incense fragrances.

White Sage in incense traditions

White Sage (Salvia apiana) is used in various traditional incense practices in North America. Such uses are often associated with ritual purification and spiritual ceremonies. Goloka incense sticks draw on the characteristic fragrance of White Sage, but they are a masala incense product made in India and not a bundle of dried sage leaves.
