Product description

Gum Arabic Powder is finely ground white gum arabic from Sudan. It is obtained from the natural plant gum of Acacia senegal and is also known as E414. In this finely powdered form, it has a pale, almost flour-like consistency.

Gum arabic for making incense

In incense making, gum arabic is primarily used as a natural binding agent. When mixed with water, the powder develops its binding properties and can help combine finely ground aromatic ingredients into a workable mixture.

This makes it particularly suitable for the production of homemade incense cones and other shaped incense blends. The fine powder can be mixed evenly with ground resins, woods, herbs and other powdered incense materials.

Fine powder from Acacia senegal

Unlike classic aromatic incense resins such as frankincense, myrrh or benzoin, gum arabic is not primarily valued for an intense fragrance of its own. In incense making, its main benefit lies instead in its function as a plant-based binding agent.
