Product description
Kunjudo HA KO Black Focus is a Japanese incense paper made from perfumed washi paper on Awaji Island. The finely embossed and carefully cut paper resembles a real leaf, with its detailed leaf veins and natural silhouette. HA KO can be burned as incense or used without burning as a decorative scented leaf.
HA KO is an original creation by Kunjudo and is produced using a patented manufacturing process. Its name combines the Japanese concepts of leaf and fragrance or incense. The HA KO Black line is distinguished by more contemporary, intense fragrance compositions and a high proportion of natural essential oils.
HA KO Black Focus – lemongrass, clove, peppermint and geranium
Focus combines lemongrass, clove, peppermint and geranium with additional fragrance notes. Lemongrass gives the composition its fresh, citrus character, while peppermint adds a cool aromatic accent. Spicy clove provides a distinct contrast, complemented by the floral facets of geranium. The result is a lively fragrance with fresh, spicy, aromatic and floral nuances.
The name Focus reflects the clear, dynamic fragrance character of this variation within the HA KO Black series. Kunjudo’s original fragrance description evokes a sunny, windswept hillside covered in lemongrass – a fitting image for the fresh and vibrant character of this composition.
Use as incense paper or a scented leaf
To burn as incense, light one end of the leaf and then blow out the flame. Place the smouldering leaf on a fireproof surface and allow it to burn slowly. The burning time is approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Do not leave unattended while smouldering.
HA KO can also be used without burning. The scented leaf can, for example, be placed inside a book or letter, or displayed as a small decorative fragrance object, where it gradually releases its perfume. The principle is somewhat reminiscent of Papier d’Arménie, but HA KO is a distinctive Japanese creation made from embossed washi paper in an artfully crafted leaf shape.
