Nippon Kodo Herb & Earth Cedarwood – 20 Incense Sticks

Herb & Earth Cedarwood by Nippon Kodo are slender, low-smoke incense sticks with a woody cedar fragrance and subtle resinous notes. They belong to the Japanese Herb & Earth fragrance range and are manufactured in China. This version, featuring the green brand logo, comes from the earlier packaging design of the range.

Cedarwood – A warm, woody fragrance

The Cedarwood fragrance evokes the scent of cedarwood and is characterised by a warm, dry woody aroma with subtle resinous accents. Its understated fragrance is suitable for anyone who prefers woody incense scents without pronounced sweetness.

The sticks are designed as Less Smoke and produce comparatively little smoke while burning. However, they are not completely smokeless.

Distinctive features of Herb & Earth incense sticks

Unlike most traditional Japanese incense sticks, these sticks have a very thin bamboo core. This construction is particularly familiar from Indian incense sticks. The aromatic incense mixture surrounds the bamboo core and gradually smoulders away as the stick burns.

Measuring approximately 25.5 cm in length and with a burning time of around 30 minutes per stick, they are suitable for occasional room scenting.

To use, place an incense stick in a suitable incense holder, light the tip and blow out the flame. Burn on a heat-resistant surface and ventilate the room regularly.
