This Ispalla Palo Santo & Resin Incense Stick Set brings together three varieties handmade in Peru: pure Palo Santo and Palo Santo combined with copal and myrrh. Each box contains 10 incense sticks, giving the set a total of 30 sticks.
According to the manufacturer, the Palo Santo used comes from wood that has fallen naturally to the ground. No trees are therefore cut down for their production. The manufacturer also states that the incense sticks have official certification from the Peruvian authorities relating to the sustainable use of natural Palo Santo populations.
Three varieties of Palo Santo
The set offers an opportunity to discover the characteristic fragrance of pure Palo Santo alongside two resinous combinations:
-
Palo Santo: warm, woody and slightly balsamic – here, the characteristic fragrance of the South American wood takes centre stage.
-
Palo Santo & Copal: combines the warm woody notes with the brighter, resinous character of copal.
-
Palo Santo & Myrrh: complements Palo Santo with the deeper, resinous and spicy notes of myrrh.
Like Palo Santo, copal and myrrh are traditional incense materials. The set therefore offers three distinct fragrance profiles, ranging from the pure aromatic wood to more resin-focused blends.
Handmade in Peru
The Ispalla incense sticks are hand-rolled in Peru. The set contains 3 boxes with 10 incense sticks each. The burning time is approximately 30 min per stick.
How to use
Light the tip of an incense stick and allow it to burn briefly. Then gently blow out the flame and place the glowing stick in a suitable incense holder. The three varieties can be used individually and compared with one another to discover the different fragrance profiles of Palo Santo, copal and myrrh.
