The Ispalla Palo Santo & Eucalyptus Incense Sticks combine genuine Palo Santo wood with eucalyptus. They are handmade in Peru and belong to the Ispalla series, in which Palo Santo is combined with various aromatic plants and resins.
According to the manufacturer, the Palo Santo used comes from wood that has fallen naturally to the ground. No trees are therefore cut down for their production. The manufacturer also states that the product has official certification from the Peruvian authorities relating to the sustainable use of natural Palo Santo populations.
In this variety, the warm, woody and slightly balsamic character of Palo Santo meets the fresh and distinctly aromatic notes of eucalyptus. This gives the incense blend a clear, green and fresh character that creates a distinct contrast with the warmth of the South American wood.
Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) has a long tradition as an incense wood in South America. Aromatic eucalyptus leaves are also used for burning as incense in various regions. Ispalla brings the two plants together here in a ready-to-use incense stick, allowing their different fragrance profiles to complement one another.
Each incense stick is hand-rolled in Peru. One pack contains 10 incense sticks. The burning time is approximately 30 min per stick.
Light the tip of the incense stick and allow it to burn briefly. Then gently blow out the flame and place the glowing stick in a suitable incense holder. As it slowly burns, the warm woody notes of Palo Santo blend with the fresh, aromatic character of eucalyptus.
