Product description
Kunjudo Coffee-en are Japanese incense sticks with an aromatic fragrance reminiscent of freshly roasted coffee beans. This unusual fragrance creation by the Japanese manufacturer Kunjudo combines the familiar aroma of roasted coffee with Japanese incense craftsmanship. The slender incense sticks produce very little smoke and are available in a pack containing approximately 40 g.
Coffee-en – The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans
The fragrance of Coffee-en (珈琲園) is inspired by the characteristic aroma of coffee beans during roasting. Warm, rich and distinctly aromatic roasted notes take centre stage, evoking the fragrance of a coffee roastery.
Unlike floral or woody incense compositions, Coffee-en draws inspiration from a familiar everyday aroma. The fragrance note inspired by roasted coffee gives these Japanese incense sticks a distinctive character that clearly sets them apart from traditional sandalwood or agarwood fragrances.
The name Coffee-en describes the fragrance profile. It is not known whether ground coffee beans, coffee extracts or other components of the coffee plant are actually used in the composition.
Japanese incense sticks with low smoke production
The Coffee-en Slim incense sticks have been designed to produce particularly little smoke. This allows the aromatic coffee fragrance to be enjoyed with comparatively little visible smoke. However, the sticks are not completely smoke-free.
Another distinctive feature is the use of flavonoids. Kunjudo describes these plant-derived compounds as natural deodorising ingredients intended to help reduce unwanted odours. This manufacturer's claim should not be equated with air purification.
Coffee-en – A contemporary fragrance concept from Japan
The manufacturer Kunjudo comes from the Japanese island of Awaji, known for its long tradition of incense stick production. Alongside classic Japanese incense fragrances, the company also offers contemporary compositions inspired by flowers, plants and familiar everyday aromas.
Coffee-en is one of these modern creations. While Hachijuhachi-ya, with its fresh, botanical green tea fragrance, evokes Japanese tea culture, Coffee-en focuses on the warm, aromatic roasted notes of coffee. The two incense varieties therefore offer different interpretations of familiar beverage aromas.
The original brown packaging features roasted coffee beans, highlighting the distinctive fragrance of this variety.
