Kunjudo HA KO No. 7 Elegance Citrus is a Japanese incense paper made from perfumed washi paper on Awaji Island. The finely embossed paper is cut into the realistic shape of a lemon leaf. Its carefully detailed leaf veins and natural silhouette make HA KO both an unusual incense paper and a decorative fragrance object.

HA KO is an original creation by Kunjudo and is produced using a patented manufacturing process. Its name combines the Japanese concepts of leaf and fragrance or incense. The different leaf shapes are part of the collection’s aesthetic design and do not necessarily correspond to the plants associated with each fragrance.

HA KO No. 7 Elegance Citrus – citrus notes and Japanese essences

No. 7 Elegance Citrus features a citrus-inspired fragrance composition. Various citrus notes combine with Japanese essences to create a fresh, elegant fragrance character. In keeping with the citrus theme of this variation, the washi paper is crafted into the shape of a lemon leaf.

Burn as incense or use as scented paper

To burn as incense, light one end of the leaf and then blow out the flame. Place the smouldering leaf on a fireproof surface and allow it to burn slowly. The burning time is approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Do not leave unattended while smouldering.

HA KO can also be used without burning. The scented leaf can, for example, be placed inside a book or letter, or displayed as a decorative fragrance object, where it gradually releases its perfume. The principle is somewhat reminiscent of Papier d’Arménie, but HA KO is a distinctive Japanese creation made from embossed washi paper in an artfully crafted leaf shape.
