Product description

Kunjudo Hana Kaori Lavender are Japanese incense sticks with a fresh, aromatic lavender fragrance. They belong to the Hana Kaori Slim range by Kunjudo, an incense manufacturer based on the Japanese island of Awaji. These slender incense sticks are characterised by exceptionally low smoke emissions and contain flavonoids, which the manufacturer describes as having odour-reducing properties.

Lavender – A fresh, aromatic floral fragrance

The Lavender fragrance is inspired by the characteristic aroma of flowering lavender fields. Unlike distinctly sweet floral fragrances, lavender has a fresh, slightly herbal and aromatic quality that makes its scent particularly distinctive.

Hana Kaori Lavender captures this fragrance profile with a clear, floral and aromatic composition. Its fresh and subtly herbal nuances give it a different character from the two Japanese spring fragrances Hana Kaori Sakura and Hana Kaori Ume, which are inspired by cherry blossoms and plum blossoms respectively.

The name Lavender describes the fragrance character. It has not been confirmed whether actual lavender flowers or lavender essential oil are used in the composition.

Low smoke and odour-reducing flavonoids

The Hana Kaori Slim range was developed to produce exceptionally little smoke. These slender incense sticks allow you to enjoy a floral fragrance with comparatively little visible smoke. However, they are not completely smoke-free.

A distinctive feature of the range is the use of flavonoids. Kunjudo describes these plant-derived compounds as natural deodorising ingredients intended to help reduce unwanted odours. This is a product characteristic claimed by the manufacturer, not evidence of indoor air purification.

Hana Kaori – Japanese floral fragrances by Kunjudo

The Japanese incense manufacturer Kunjudo comes from the island of Awaji, a long-established centre of Japanese incense stick production. The Hana Kaori range combines contemporary, flower-inspired fragrance compositions with a low-smoke format for everyday use.

While Sakura and Ume evoke the blossoms of the Japanese spring, Lavender offers a more aromatic alternative inspired by lavender. The original violet-coloured packaging reflects the characteristic colour of lavender flowers.

Each pack contains approximately 100 slender incense sticks with a total weight of around 40 g. The sticks measure approximately 13.5 cm in length and have a burning time of around 20 minutes.
