Product description
Kunjudo Hana Kaori Rose are Japanese incense sticks with a rich, floral rose fragrance. They belong to the Hana Kaori Slim range by Kunjudo, an incense manufacturer based on the Japanese island of Awaji. These slender incense sticks combine exceptionally low smoke emissions with a fragrance composition reminiscent of the distinctive scent of blooming roses.
Rose – A rich, floral fragrance
For centuries, the rose has been one of the most important fragrant plants in perfumery. Depending on the variety and fragrance composition, its scent can range from fresh and delicately floral to rich, sweet and intense.
Hana Kaori Rose captures the fuller, more floral side of the rose fragrance. The composition offers a rounded, fragrant floral character with a pleasant richness. Compared with the lighter spring fragrances Hana Kaori Sakura and Hana Kaori Ume, the emphasis here is less on the delicate freshness of individual blossoms and more on the classic, fully developed rose fragrance.
Rose also differs noticeably from Hana Kaori Lavender: while lavender has a fresh, slightly herbal and aromatic note, Rose focuses more on a soft, floral fragrance character.
The name Rose describes the fragrance profile. It has not been confirmed whether actual rose petals, rose oil or rose extracts are used in the composition.
Hana Kaori Slim – Exceptionally low smoke
The Hana Kaori Slim range was designed to produce very little smoke. These slender incense sticks allow you to enjoy a distinctive floral fragrance with comparatively little visible smoke. However, they are not completely smoke-free.
Another distinctive feature is the use of flavonoids. Kunjudo describes these plant-derived compounds as natural deodorising ingredients intended to help reduce unwanted odours. This manufacturer's claim refers to the odour-reducing properties of the range and should not be equated with purifying indoor air.
Japanese floral fragrances by Kunjudo
The Japanese incense manufacturer Kunjudo comes from the island of Awaji, a long-established centre of Japanese incense stick production. With its Hana Kaori range, the company combines contemporary, flower-inspired fragrance compositions with a low-smoke format for everyday use.
The original red packaging of Hana Kaori Rose features a rose motif, emphasising the pronounced floral character of this variety.
Each pack contains approximately 40 g of slender incense sticks, equivalent to around 100 sticks. The sticks measure approximately 13.5 cm in length and have a burning time of around 20 minutes.
