Kunjudo Hana Kaori Ume – Japanese Incense Sticks 40 g

Kunjudo Hana Kaori Ume are Japanese incense sticks from the Hana Kaori range by Kunjudo. The Ume fragrance is inspired by Japanese plum blossoms and evokes a flowering plum garden in early spring. The slender incense sticks in the Slim version are characterised by exceptionally low smoke emissions.

Ume – The fragrance of Japanese plum blossoms

The Japanese plum blossom, Ume (梅), is among the first flowers to appear in Japan towards the end of winter. Its delicate white or pink blossoms herald the arrival of spring and have been a popular motif in Japanese poetry and art for centuries.

Hana Kaori Ume captures this springtime atmosphere with a gentle, floral fragrance composition. The scent evokes fresh plum blossoms and a light, pleasant spring atmosphere. The name describes the fragrance profile and does not mean that the incense sticks actually contain plum blossoms.

Low smoke and odour-reducing properties

The Hana Kaori Slim incense sticks were designed to produce exceptionally little smoke. They are therefore suitable for those who prefer Japanese floral fragrances and want as little smoke as possible when burning incense. However, they are not completely smoke-free.

Another distinctive feature of this range is the use of flavonoids. Kunjudo describes these plant-derived compounds as natural deodorising ingredients intended to help reduce unwanted odours. This property is part of the Hana Kaori range's product concept and should be distinguished from air purification.

Japanese incense sticks by Kunjudo

The manufacturer Kunjudo comes from the Japanese island of Awaji, a long-established centre of Japanese incense stick production. The Hana Kaori range combines contemporary floral fragrances with a low-smoke format for everyday use.

Each pack contains approximately 100 slender incense sticks with a total weight of around 40 g. Each stick measures approximately 13.5 cm in length and burns for around 20 minutes.

To use, light the tip of an incense stick, blow out the flame and place the glowing stick in a suitable, heat-resistant incense holder. Ensure adequate ventilation while burning incense and never leave a glowing stick unattended.
