Product description
Kunjudo HA KO Black Dive is a Japanese incense paper made from washi paper on Awaji Island. Instead of an incense stick, it takes the form of finely embossed and carefully cut paper resembling a real leaf. HA KO can be burned as incense or simply used as scented paper.
HA KO is an original creation by Kunjudo, produced using a patented manufacturing process. Its name combines the Japanese concepts of ha (leaf) and ko (fragrance or incense). The detailed leaf veins and carefully crafted silhouette also make each piece a small decorative fragrance object. The leaf shape serves an aesthetic purpose and does not indicate the plant used to create the fragrance.
HA KO Black Dive – myrrh, musk and benzoin
Dive belongs to the more intense HA KO Black series and combines myrrh, musk and benzoin with additional fragrance notes. The composition has a deep, warm and balsamic character: the resinous facets of myrrh and benzoin meet the soft, sensual fragrance of musk. The name Dive emphasises the tranquil, intense atmosphere of this fragrance composition.
The HA KO Black series differs from the classic white HA KO line through its more contemporary and intense fragrance compositions and a high proportion of natural essential oils. Dive is one of several distinct fragrance moods within this black series.
Burn as incense or use as scented paper
To burn as incense, light one end of the leaf and then blow out the flame. Place the smouldering leaf on a fireproof surface and allow it to burn completely. The burning time is approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Do not leave the incense paper unattended while smouldering.
HA KO can also be used without burning. The scented leaf can, for example, be placed inside a book or letter, or displayed in a suitable location as a small decorative fragrance object, where it gradually releases its scent. The principle is therefore somewhat reminiscent of Papier d’Arménie, but HA KO is a distinctive Japanese interpretation made from washi paper in an artfully crafted leaf shape.
