Kunjudo Karin Togetsu Incense Sticks – Daphne – 30 g

Karin Togetsu by Kunjudo is a particularly floral fragrance variant of the Japanese Karin series. At the heart of the composition is the fragrance of Daphne (Daphne odora), known in Japan as Jinchōge (沈丁花). The composition has a sweet, elegant floral character that clearly distinguishes it from the more woody or spicy variants in the series.

The fragrance of Daphne odora

Kunjudo describes Togetsu as an elegant incense with the sweet fragrance of Daphne flowers. Although sandalwood is one of the basic ingredients, the classic woody fragrance is not the main focus here. The floral fragrance composition was deliberately created as an alternative to Japanese incenses more strongly characterised by traditional aromatic woods and herbal recipes.

Togetsu – "crossing the moon"

The name Togetsu (渡月) means approximately "crossing the moon" and recalls the famous Togetsukyō in Arashiyama near Kyoto. The name therefore fits naturally into the elegant world of the Karin series, inspired by classical Japanese aesthetics.

Composition and fragrance character

Kunjudo lists Tabu bark powder, sandalwood and fragrances as the basic ingredients. The exact composition of the aromatic blend is not specified in further detail. Karin Togetsu is characterised by its sweet floral, soft and elegant Daphne fragrance, which clearly distinguishes it from the sandalwood-focused and spicier Karin variants.

30 g box

This box contains 30 g of Karin Togetsu incense sticks. The sticks are approx. 13.5 cm long and have a burning time of approx. 25 minutes. Kunjudo describes the smoke level as normal.

To use, light the tip of an incense stick and then blow out the flame. Place the glowing stick in a suitable incense holder and use it on a fire-resistant surface.
