Karin-Zuito by Kunjudo is a Japanese agarwood incense with a powerful yet finely balanced fragrance. The incense sticks are made by Kunjudo on Awaji Island in Japan, a region with a long tradition of Japanese incense production.
At the heart of the composition is Siamese agarwood, whose lasting and pronounced fragrance defines the character of Karin-Zuito. Kunjudo combines this precious wood with refined aromatic notes of Western influence. This creates an unusual blend of the traditional fragrance world of Japanese incense with lighter, more elegant accents.
The fragrance is intense, spicy and characterised by a distinctive sharpness, while at the same time revealing a finer, more delicate side. It is precisely this interplay that gives Karin-Zuito its characteristic expression. Kunjudo describes the pronounced sharpness as an essential element that conveys the impression of a particularly luxurious incense.
Although Kunjudo's fragrance compositions build on the traditional use of Chinese herbs and aromatic materials, Karin-Zuito does not feel exclusively heavy or dark. The composition also has a lighter side that balances the powerful character of the agarwood.
This version contains 80 g of incense sticks. The individual sticks are approximately 13.5 cm long and have a burning time of around 25 minutes. Karin-Zuito is made by Kunjudo Co. Ltd. on Awaji Island in Japan.
