Kunjudo Kozanmai – Sandalwood & Agarwood Incense Sticks

Kozanmai by Kunjudo is a Japanese incense from Awaji Island, available in two classic woody fragrances: sandalwood and agarwood. In addition to their respective fragrances, the series has a special function: according to Kunjudo, these incense sticks were also developed to reduce unwanted indoor odours while filling the room with a pleasant fragrance as they burn.

Two woody fragrances

Kozanmai Sandalwood has a warm, soft and harmonious sandalwood character. This variant is particularly suited to enthusiasts of classic Japanese incense sticks with a rounded and subtle woody note.

Kozanmai Agarwood offers a deeper and more distinctive woody fragrance. Its fragrance profile is more complex and pronounced than that of the sandalwood variant. Kozanmai therefore offers two distinctly different interpretations of classic Asian woody fragrances within the same series.

For reducing unwanted room odours

According to the description provided by Kunjudo, the odour-reducing property is explicitly part of the concept behind the Kozanmai series. The incense sticks can therefore be used, for example, in living spaces where odours remain after cooking or from other everyday causes. As the incense burns, this practical function is combined with the respective sandalwood or agarwood fragrance.

Japanese incense from Awaji Island

Kozanmai is made by Kunjudo Co. Ltd. in Japan on Awaji Island. Awaji has long been closely associated with the production of Japanese incense sticks and is one of the country's major incense-producing regions.

Each pack contains approximately 80 incense sticks measuring 13.5 cm in length. The burn time is approximately 25 minutes per stick.
