Kunjudo Takara Sakura – Reduced-Smoke Incense Sticks

Takara Sakura by Kunjudo is a Japanese incense with a fragrance reminiscent of cherry blossoms. It belongs to the environmentally conscious Eco-Takara series and is characterised by slightly reduced smoke production.

Kunjudo uses cypress powder, bamboo powder and aromatic ingredients as the base materials. Previously unused wood materials from cypress and bamboo processing are also incorporated. In this way, the Eco-Takara series combines Japanese incense with the idea of making more conscious use of existing raw materials.

Sakura – Japanese cherry blossom fragrance

This variety is inspired by the fragrance of cherry blossoms – sakura. Its floral character takes centre stage, although Kunjudo does not disclose a more detailed aromatic composition. Cherry blossoms, extracts or essential oils are therefore not assumed to be actual ingredients.

According to the manufacturer, smoke production is slightly reduced. Measuring approximately 13.5 cm in length and burning for around 20 minutes, these short sticks offer a pleasantly compact incense-burning experience.

Eco Takara – Kunjudo’s environmentally conscious concept

Kunjudo describes Eco Takara as an incense series produced with consideration for nature and the environment, using carefully selected raw materials. By incorporating previously unused wood materials from cypress and bamboo, the manufacturer aims to make a small contribution to forest conservation.

Since 2009, Kunjudo has also donated a portion of the revenue from Eco-Takara products to the Setouchi Olive Fund, supporting nature and plant conservation activities.
