Tokusen Karin by Kunjudo is an elegant variant of the Karin series with sandalwood as its warm, woody foundation. Kunjudo complements this classic fragrance character with natural aromas such as calamus and cinnamon, creating a gentle, delicately spicy Japanese fragrance composition.
The fragrance of Tokusen Karin is soft and balanced. Sandalwood is at the heart of the composition, while calamus and cinnamon contribute aromatic and spicy nuances. Compared with standard Karin, which Kunjudo describes as more modern, mild and slightly sweet, Tokusen Karin therefore has a somewhat more classic and delicately spicy character.
According to the manufacturer's information, the basic composition of Tokusen Karin corresponds to that of classic Karin. The difference lies primarily in the fragrance design: for Tokusen Karin, Kunjudo specifically highlights calamus and cinnamon as natural aromas. The characteristic sandalwood base of the series is therefore retained while taking on a distinctive aromatic direction.
Kunjudo lists Tabu bark powder, sandalwood and fragrances as the basic ingredients. Calamus and cinnamon are specifically mentioned as natural aromas in the manufacturer's fragrance description. Agarwood is not listed as an ingredient in this composition.
This box contains approx. 80 g of Tokusen Karin incense sticks. The sticks are approximately 13.5 cm long and each burns for around 25 minutes. Kunjudo describes the smoke level as normal.
To use, light the tip of an incense stick and then blow out the flame. Place the glowing stick in a suitable incense holder and use it on a fire-resistant surface.
