Meikoh Shibayama by Nippon Kodo is a Japanese incense with a balanced combination of sandalwood and floral fragrance notes. The fragrance was inspired by a spring landscape filled with blooming flowers and combines a warm, woody base with a soft, bright floral note.
The incense sticks produce relatively little smoke. This allows the fragrance to remain clearly perceptible without heavy smoke becoming a dominant feature. Each stick burns for approximately 30 minutes.
Fragrance Profile
Floral and woody with a warm sandalwood base. Soft, spring-like floral notes rest above it, giving the fragrance a brighter and lighter character. Nippon Kodo describes Meikoh Shibayama as evoking the image of a field covered with flowers in spring.
Japanese Incense for Everyday Use
Meikoh Shibayama is particularly well suited to lovers of Japanese incense sticks who prefer a balanced combination of wood and floral notes. The blend of sandalwood, floral notes and low smoke production distinguishes this variety from stronger or more wood-focused incenses.
