Product description
This 18 cm high brass censer is a traditionally designed church censer for burning frankincense and frankincense blends over charcoal. The richly decorated vessel has an openwork lid with a cross and is suspended from three long chains.
Its design is inspired by traditional censers used in Christian church services and particularly during Mass. When the censer is swung, air flows through the openings and the fragrant frankincense smoke can spread throughout the room.
For frankincense and frankincense blends
For incense burning, a glowing charcoal tablet is placed inside the censer. Small amounts of pure frankincense or a frankincense blend can then be placed on the charcoal. The openwork lid provides air circulation and allows the resulting incense smoke to escape.
The censer can be held by the chains and moved carefully during incense burning. This method of use is closely associated with the traditional liturgical burning of frankincense.

Instructions for safe use
The censer, and particularly its interior, can become very hot due to the glowing charcoal. Do not touch the heated vessel directly during incense burning and never leave glowing charcoal unattended.
After use, the censer should preferably remain suspended from a stable hook or suitable support until both the charcoal and the vessel have completely cooled. If placed on a surface, the weight of the long chains may unbalance the censer and cause it to tip over.
