Morning Star Gold Classic Aloeswood by Nippon Kodo is a Japanese incense with a classic, woody fragrance reminiscent of agarwood. This blue variety belonged to Nippon Kodo's former Morning Star Gold collection.

Classic Aloeswood – the woody variety in the Morning Star Gold series

The Morning Star Gold collection, which is no longer produced, comprised five different fragrances: Classic Aloeswood, Fresh Cedar, Spicy Amber, Jasmine Breeze and Romantic Rose. The series therefore brought together woody, warm and floral fragrance profiles in a consistent format.

Classic Aloeswood centres on a traditional fragrance profile inspired by agarwood. The fragrance is warm, woody and deep, providing a clear contrast to the floral Jasmine Breeze and Romantic Rose varieties.

The precise fragrance composition of this older incense was not disclosed by the manufacturer. The name Aloeswood is therefore understood as a fragrance profile and not as confirmation that natural agarwood is present in the incense blend.

30 Japanese incense sticks with ceramic holder

Morning Star Gold incense sticks do not have bamboo cores. When they burn, there is therefore no additional wooden stick burning together with the actual incense blend.

Each pack contains 30 incense sticks as well as a small ceramic holder. The burning time is approximately 25 minutes per stick.
