Product description
Kayuragi Pomegranate by Nippon Kodo is a Japanese incense with a fresh and tart, fruity pomegranate fragrance. This lively fruit note offers a modern and expressive variation within the Kayuragi series, which includes traditional wood notes as well as floral and fruity fragrance compositions.
The 40 Japanese incense sticks are made without bamboo cores and presented together with a small ceramic holder in a paulownia wood box. The colourful, smoothly textured design of the Kayuragi series is inspired by the fabrics of traditional Japanese kimonos.
Fresh and tart pomegranate fragrance
Kayuragi Pomegranate is characterised by a fresh, fruity and pleasantly tart pomegranate note. Compared with the traditional wood notes in the series, the focus here is on a bright and lively fruit character.
Pomegranate refers to the documented fragrance profile of this incense. The precise aromatic composition is not disclosed, so this does not establish the use of pomegranate fruit, extracts or any other specific botanical ingredients.
Kayuragi – where fragrance and smoke meet
The name Kayuragi combines ka, meaning fragrance, with yuragi, the slow, undulating movement of drifting smoke. The concept of the series therefore draws attention both to the fragrance and to the sight of the incense smoke gently rising.
The incense sticks burn for approximately 25 minutes each. Their lightweight paulownia wood box protects the contents from moisture, while the elaborate design of the Kayuragi series also makes it an attractive gift idea.
