N.K. No. 4 Tree by Nippon Kodo is a Japanese incense stick assortment featuring three different woody and botanical fragrances. The former N.K. Quality Incense collection combined modern packaging design with a variety of fragrance compositions. This discontinued edition brings together 24 incense sticks in a single box.

Three fragrances – agarwood, sandalwood and bamboo

The Tree assortment offers three different interpretations of woody and botanical fragrance notes:

• Aloeswood – Agarwood: A warm, deep and woody fragrance inspired by the characteristic scent of traditional Japanese agarwood incense.
• Sandalwood: A soft, warm woody fragrance with the gentle, slightly sweet character typical of sandalwood.
• Bamboo: A fresh, green and botanical fragrance reminiscent of the light, clear character of bamboo.

These three names describe the respective fragrance profiles. The precise composition of the incense sticks is not documented. In particular, it is not possible to determine which natural woods or botanical ingredients were actually used.

An earlier assortment by Nippon Kodo

N.K. No. 4 Tree belongs to an older product line by the Japanese manufacturer Nippon Kodo. The white and green packaging contains 8 incense sticks of each fragrance, offering an opportunity to explore three different fragrance profiles within a single assortment.

Tree was also available in a version containing incense coils. However, the version offered here contains exclusively 24 incense sticks.
