Superior Hojari Frankincense from the Sultanate of Oman
This high-quality frankincense is obtained from the natural gum resin of the frankincense tree Boswellia sacra and comes from the Sultanate of Oman. Hojari is considered one of Oman’s best-known grades of frankincense and has been valued for centuries for traditional incense burning. When smouldering, the resin releases a clear, pleasantly resinous fragrance with balsamic and subtly fresh notes.
Frankincense has been part of religious, spiritual and cultural traditions in various regions of the world for thousands of years. In different incense traditions, Boswellia sacra is used to create a calm atmosphere and to symbolically prepare spaces for prayer, meditation or ceremonies. These uses are based on traditional customs and cultural practices.
The resin grains are suitable both for burning on glowing incense charcoal and for use in an incense burner with a sieve or metal plate. Depending on the temperature, the fragrance develops with varying intensity and can be adjusted to personal preference.
Those who appreciate classic incense resins can also combine frankincense with myrrh, benzoin resin or mastic. Each of these natural resins has its own fragrance character and complements frankincense in a different way.
