Product description

Palo Santo is an aromatic wood from South America that is traditionally burned as incense. These Palo Santo chips come from Peru and are available in two different grades: very coarse or very fine. Both varieties can be ordered in bags of 25 g or 100 g.

Unlike whole pieces of Palo Santo wood, the chips are particularly easy to measure and place directly on incense charcoal. The fine variety is also very well suited as an ingredient in homemade incense blends and for making incense.

Coarse or Fine Palo Santo Chips

The coarse chips consist of noticeably larger, irregular pieces of wood and are particularly suitable for traditional incense burning on glowing charcoal. Due to the varying sizes of the natural wood pieces, the fragrance can develop gradually.

The fine chips are much more finely ground. They can be measured very precisely and mixed with other incense materials. In addition to being used directly on incense charcoal, this makes them particularly suitable for creating your own incense blends and for making incense.

Fragrance Profile

When burned as incense, Palo Santo releases a warm, woody and aromatic fragrance with resinous, slightly sweet and citrusy nuances. The characteristic aroma of the wood develops quickly with the chips, as they have a larger surface area compared with whole pieces of wood.

How to Use

Place a small amount of Palo Santo chips on a fully glowing incense charcoal disc and add more as needed. The fine chips in particular can also be combined with other woods, herbs or incense resins to create individual incense blends.

Always use a suitable heat-resistant vessel when burning incense and never leave glowing incense charcoal unattended.
