Pure Aromatic Frank Dhoop – Nepalese Incense Sticks

Pure Aromatic Frank Dhoop are traditional Nepalese incense sticks intended for burning as incense and as an accompaniment to meditation and religious ceremonies. The handmade sticks are produced in Nepal.

The term Frank Incense is explained on the packaging in the sense of “genuine frankincense” and is associated with frankincense resin. However, the exact composition of the incense blend is not specified. It is therefore not possible to reliably determine either the proportion of frankincense or the botanical species used.

Traditional incense from Nepal

Incense has a long cultural and religious tradition in the Himalayas. Among other uses, it is burned as an offering and as an accompaniment to meditation and various religious ceremonies. The original packaging of Pure Aromatic Frank Dhoop also specifically describes these traditional uses.

How to use

Light the tip of an incense stick, allow it to burn briefly, then gently blow out the flame. Place it on a suitable fireproof incense surface and allow it to smoulder completely. The 19 cm long sticks are used without a wooden core and therefore require an appropriate holder or suitable surface.
