Product description

Saryane's Aleppo soap with 12% laurel berry oil combines the nourishing properties of olive oil with a higher proportion of laurel berry oil. Made using traditional Syrian craftsmanship, it is suitable for daily body care and is especially valued by those who prefer a somewhat more intense Aleppo soap.

The formula consists exclusively of olive oil, laurel berry oil, water, and soda. Synthetic fragrances, dyes, and other unnecessary additives are deliberately avoided. During the long curing period, the soap develops its characteristic beige to golden-brown outer surface, while the inside retains its natural green colour.

Traditional production in Syria

Production follows a process handed down over centuries. First, olive oil is saponified for several days with water and soda. The laurel berry oil is added only at the end of the boiling process. The soap mass is then poured out, cut by hand, stamped, and slowly dried and cured for six to twelve months.

This long curing period makes the soap particularly firm, economical to use, and pleasant in application.

12% laurel oil – balanced care with a higher laurel content

With a 12% laurel berry oil content, this Aleppo soap offers a balanced middle ground between the especially mild variants and the more concentrated Aleppo soaps. It is traditionally often chosen by those who prefer a higher laurel content without wanting to give up a formula suited to everyday use.

It is suitable for the daily cleansing of the face, hands, and body. It is also traditionally often used for combination skin, oilier skin, or as a solid shampoo for oily scalps. These uses are based on the traditional use of Aleppo soap and do not constitute medical claims.

Use

The soap can be used daily for the face, hands, and body. It is also suitable as a solid shampoo. After use, it is recommended to let it dry on a well-ventilated soap dish so that it stays economical to use for longer.

A fine whitish coating may occasionally appear on the surface. This is a natural characteristic of traditionally made Aleppo soaps and not a sign of poor quality.
