Saryane Aleppo Soap with 35% laurel berry oil is one of the most concentrated traditional Aleppo soaps. Traditionally crafted in Syria, it is distinguished by its particularly high proportion of laurel berry oil. This formula is intended for those who deliberately choose a more intensive version of classic Aleppo soap.
Like all authentic Aleppo soaps, it is made from only a few carefully selected ingredients: olive oil, laurel berry oil, water and soda. It contains no synthetic fragrances, colourants or other unnecessary additives.
The soap is produced using a traditional method that has been passed down through generations. Olive oil is first saponified with water and soda over several days. The valuable laurel berry oil is added only shortly before the end of the cooking process. The soap is then poured onto large surfaces, cut by hand into bars and stamped with the manufacturer's seal.
During a maturation period of six to twelve months, the soap gradually loses part of its moisture, making it particularly hard and long-lasting. At the same time, its colour changes from olive green to the characteristic beige to golden-brown exterior of Aleppo soap, while the inside remains naturally green.
With 35% laurel berry oil, this Aleppo soap is among the most highly concentrated traditional formulas. It differs significantly from the milder 5%, 12% and 20% laurel berry oil varieties and is primarily chosen by those who prefer a very high laurel content.
Traditionally, this type of formula is often used for demanding skin as well as a solid shampoo for sensitive or heavily stressed scalps. These applications are based on long-standing traditional use and do not constitute medical claims.
The soap is suitable for the face, hands, body and hair. Owing to its high laurel berry oil content, it is often used for more targeted skincare rather than as an everyday soap. After each use, it should be allowed to dry completely to help preserve its firmness and ensure it lasts as long as possible.
A clearly visible whitish coating or fine surface cracks may occasionally appear on Aleppo soaps with a high laurel berry oil content. These are natural results of the maturation process and are considered characteristic of traditionally made Aleppo soap.
