Product description

Satya Palo Santo incense sticks are produced by Shrinivas Sugandhalaya (BNG) in Bangalore, India. They are part of the well-known Satya range from the historic manufacturer of Satya Nag Champa incense sticks and interpret the characteristic fragrance of Palo Santo as an Indian masala incense stick.

The fragrance is inspired by the aromatic character of South American Palo Santo wood: warm, woody and slightly sweet with gentle balsamic nuances. In the masala composition, this fragrance profile takes on a fuller, typically Indian incense character.

Palo Santo as a fragrance theme

Palo Santo, often referred to as “Holy Wood”, is a traditional incense material from South America. The aromatic wood has long been used there in various incense traditions. Satya Palo Santo, however, is not pure Palo Santo wood, but an Indian incense stick with this fragrance profile. The manufacturer does not clearly specify whether natural Palo Santo is included in the formula or, if so, in what form.

Fragrance profile

Warm and woody, with a slight sweetness and soft balsamic notes. Compared with burning pure Palo Santo wood, the fragrance of the masala incense stick is more complex and more strongly shaped by the Indian incense composition.

Shrinivas Sugandhalaya (BNG)

These Satya incense sticks come from Shrinivas Sugandhalaya (BNG) in Bangalore, the historic manufacturer whose production gave rise to the internationally renowned Satya Nag Champa range. The “BNG” designation distinguishes this production from Shrinivas Sugandhalaya (MUM).
