Xiang Do Fresh Assortment by Shoyeido is a Japanese incense set featuring three different fragrance compositions inspired by green tea, black tea and coffee. Made in Kyoto, the assortment contains 9 incense sticks in three fragrances and offers a varied introduction to Shoyeido's Xiang Do collection.

Three fragrances – Sencha, Coffee and Tea

The Xiang Do Fresh Assortment brings together three aromatic interpretations of familiar beverages:

• 3 × Sencha – Green Tea: A fresh, green and botanical fragrance reminiscent of Japanese green tea leaves.
• 3 × Coffee: An aromatic fragrance with characteristic notes of roasted coffee.
• 3 × Tea – Black Tea: A warm, slightly deeper tea fragrance composition, distinguished from fresh Sencha by its fuller character.

The three fragrances reveal different facets of the Xiang Do series: from the fresh, botanical character of Sencha to the warm fragrance of black tea and the pronounced roasted aroma of coffee. The fragrance names describe the respective compositions and do not confirm that actual tea leaves or coffee are used as raw materials.

Xiang Do – Japanese incense sticks shaped by compression

Shoyeido's Xiang Do collection is distinguished by a special manufacturing process. Instead of the extrusion of an aromatic mixture typically used to produce traditional Japanese incense sticks, Shoyeido employs a specially developed compression moulding process (圧縮成形, Asshuku Seikei).

During this process, the incense material is compressed in a mould. This produces short, compact incense sticks with a particularly smooth and uniform surface. This manufacturing method is one of the defining characteristics of the Xiang Do series.

A small fragrance assortment from Kyoto

The Fresh Assortment contains three incense sticks each of Sencha, Coffee and Tea. The sticks measure approximately 7 cm in length and have a burning time of around 15 minutes. A small incense holder is included in the set.

This compact assortment is particularly suitable for discovering and comparing the three fragrance compositions. It is the version containing nine incense sticks, not one of the larger Xiang Do assortments.
