Shukohkoku Kaikun by Baieido is the coil version of the classic Shukohkoku incense from Osaka, Japan. The box contains 5 Japanese incense coils, whose shape allows for a long and even burning time.
The composition combines Vietnamese agarwood and Indian sandalwood with cassia, star anise, patchouli, clove and other ingredients. The fragrance retains the characteristic woody-spicy profile of Shukohkoku: warm sandalwood forms the foundation, agarwood adds depth, while cassia, star anise and clove provide spicy accents. Patchouli complements the composition with an earthy note.
Unlike the straight Shukohkoku incense sticks, this version comes in a coil shape. Each coil burns for approximately 110 minutes, making it suitable for longer, continuous incense burning. To use, light the tip of the coil and then place it on a suitable fire-resistant surface designed for incense coils.

As with various Japanese incense products, the name Shukohkoku can be found in different romanisations. Spellings such as Syukohkoku or Shu Koh Koku refer to the same Baieido incense composition, which is available not only as coils but also in various stick formats.
