This red soapstone incense bowl is made in India and is suitable for burning incense with sand and charcoal. The rich red colouring allows the natural texture and darker nuances of the stone to remain visible in places, giving the simple, round bowl its distinctive appearance.
With a diameter of approximately 10 cm and a height of 3.5 cm, the bowl can easily be prepared for traditional charcoal incense burning. To do so, fill it with a sufficient layer of fine incense sand, then place the lit charcoal tablet on top.
For resins, plants and aromatic woods
Once the charcoal is fully glowing and has reached the desired temperature, small amounts of incense material can be placed on top. The bowl is suitable, for example, for natural resins such as frankincense, myrrh and copal, as well as aromatic plants, fragrant woods and incense blends.
After burning incense, simply allow the charcoal to burn out completely in the bowl. Only remove the ash once the charcoal and residue have completely cooled.
