Styrax Calamitus
Small pieces of charcoal impregnated with a natural balsam composed of styrax, sandalwood and other natural perfumes. It is used in fumigations like a traditional resin.
A fumigation of Styrax Calamitus, alone or with other resins, brings an atmosphere of serenity in situations of tension and aggression.
Its fragrance is sweet and balsamic, with notes of vanilla or cinnamon. It is used in mixtures, the most famous of which is Pontifical (sometimes also called Lourdes), a mixture of black and golden olibanum, which is burned in the Vatican.
