Tokusen Shibayama by Nippon Kodo is a Japanese incense with a warm sandalwood note and finely balanced floral accents. The composition produces little smoke and combines the soft character of sandalwood with a subtle sweetness and delicate floral nuances.
As it burns, the full, velvety fragrance of sandalwood unfolds first. Floral notes, which Nippon Kodo associates with gomphrena, enhance its natural sweetness and give the composition additional depth. This makes Tokusen Shibayama feel warm, soft and elegant at the same time, without allowing the floral side to overpower the woody character.
Fragrance Profile
Warm and woody with a pronounced, soft sandalwood note accompanied by a delicate floral sweetness. The fragrance has a gentle, balanced character and develops a clearly perceptible aromatic presence despite the low level of smoke.
The Fragrance World of Shibayama
With Shibayama, Nippon Kodo evokes the image of a familiar Japanese landscape: small hills, fields of wild herbs and the changes in nature throughout the seasons. This poetic imagery is reflected in the combination of warm sandalwood and delicate floral notes, giving the incense its nostalgic character.
Tokusen Shibayama is available as a compact paper-wrapped roll containing approximately 28 g of incense sticks, as well as in a larger box containing approximately 180 g. The incense sticks are made in Japan by Nippon Kodo.
